A few before and after

A look at our cock pit in Nov. of 2009, followed by a picture of it the end of Sept. 2010.
Diane refinished the wood and made the seats look like a new boat. She did it all under the shrink wrap in the winter. If  I'm lucky her picture will be next. It's her sexy work uniform!

When we bought Sinbad all the electronics that worked consisted of a loran C, a old VHF and a Wagner autopilot. Sinbad now has: chart plotter, radar, depth, wind, water temp, speed, autopilot, rudder angle finder all by Garmin plus a new VHS radio and antenna. Here is a picture of the old.

We bought the Boat!

We are the proud & happy new owners of a 1979 Whitby ketch! We are the 2nd owners of hull # 134. "Lucky Gerry" has spent her entire life in the great lakes and was named after the owners wife. Every thing is orginal "1979" including the sails. We have our work cut out for us. We signed the papers in Nov. of 2009 and we plan on casting off the dock lines we Diane retires in Aug of 2011. I've finally getting time to write this.....it's April of 2011!
The goal will be to get caught up on the posting of our progress.
